40 wks + 5 days having a sweep today i am already 1-2 cm?

i had 2 sweeps, one at 38 weeks as i was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and had to stay in hopsital for a few days, the 2nd one was when i was 6 days overdue and it worked. i went into labour a few hours later and had my daughter the following morning. it is painful but its so worth it to get things moving, i would much prefer having a sweep over being induced as that was the next step and ive been told its more painful that natural. they dont always work but as you are overdue there is a better chance of it working if the baby is ready to come out, if not ask for another one in a few days. not much longer now dont worry, good luck!
