Since July 2009, I started drafting part drawings and component drawings with Catia software. First of all, based on the established datum, I selected the appropriate perspectives and projected 3D models into 2D drawings Then I dimensioned all 2D drawings in accordance with two standards, GD&T and Oelav NV 94-10-2002, in which the capacity dimensions should be indicated with a symbol ‘C’ while the function ones should be indicated with a symbol ‘+’. Last, I drafted the technical specifications of parts and components basing on my prior design experience and Lesson & Learn Card (LLC) in the internal database, including the definition of materials and treatments, geometrical specifications, marking specifications, etc. For example, I determined the specifications for parting lines, injection gates, ejector pins, burrs and draft angles.
