Do you think our pets are influenced by the sign........................?

I have a Siamese cat who I believe is a Leo and he comes to me and my mom a lot. I'm an Aquarius and my mom is a Gemini, both of which are compatible with Leos. He sometimes goes to my stepsister who I think is a Libra, also compatible with Leos.
