Have you always been proud of America?

Were you proud when we rounded up Native Americans and stole their land? Were you proud when slavery was perfectly acceptable? Were you proud of the South during the Civil War? Were you proud when we firebombed Dresden? What about the internment of Japanese-Americans during World War II? Were you proud when we were dropping napalm on the people of Southeast Asia? What about Watergate? What about when we were funding the Contras' slaughtering of innocent civilians? What about the time we gave Saddam Hussein chemical weapons to use on his own people? Were you proud when we tortured people in Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo?
