How to be prepared for the CA behind the wheel driving test?

I am 18 and i don't have my driver's license yet.. yeah i know I'm a little "behind"... Well i have been driving with my permit for a little while and I'm not a bad driver but sometimes i get a little nervous i guess. I tend to over-think things and then fail. I'm not sure what i need to really be doing.. How often should i check my mirrors? Do they still test you on parallel parking? I'm not a great parker but I'm decent.. (by the way i am taking my test on the 29th lol) I don't have a small car so i am taking the test in my step mom's van. She kind of hates me right now so i don't know if that is really an option though... so i might have to take it in my 8 inch lifted Bronco 2 >_< yeeeeaahhhh. So if you guys can help in any way that would be awesome!
